Hospital Clínica Bíblica will receive training courses.

San José, August 2010. Hospital Clínica Bíblica (HCB) entered into an ongoing academic collaboration agreement with the prestigious Evergreen Hospital in Washington.

The clinical training to be received by the Costa Rican Medical Services Association (Asociación de Servicios Médicos Costarricenses - ASEMECO) shall be provided through programs to be designed taking into account the main areas of interest.

The Evergreen Hospital agreed to provide training to healthcare professionals of Hospital Clínica Bíblica. Evergreen members will travel to the country to share their experience, and will also receive physicians and nurses accredited in the program to receive them at their facilities in the State of Washington, United States of America.

The collaboration in healthcare issues will be mutual, because HCB physicians will be able to teach in the United States or by means of virtual conferences.

The hospital personnel will receive clinical training and participate in the various activities that are going to be covered by the educational program, under the same standards, policies and regulations of Evergreen.

There will be training in all healthcare areas, including hospital quality, management and better practices, using all publications that exist in the Evergreen library as reference material at said sessions.

The access to the supplies and equipment for the care of patients will be another benefit for those who travel to the United States under the training program. The participants will be able to have access to certain confidential information of each hospital, which will be valuable, special and unique property. For example, we will learn about the innovative treatment methods developed by the hospital, which will also provide to all members adequate protection gear for all the duties assigned.

ASEMECO and Evergreen will plan together the participation of the members at the beginning of the year, taking into account the needs of the hospital centers.
